All you need to know to elevate your professional CV.

Imagine not getting the job or internship you are totally qualified for just because your CV didn't grab the hiring team's attention or, even worse, it wasn’t even read.frustrating,right? Well,not anymore.

The hiring process is complicated,long and mostly crowded with hundreds or even thousands of candidates,putting that in mind,you only have few seconds to catch a hiring manager's attention with your CV.Here is how you build a strong compelling CV for yourself using the modern criteria to dive into opportunities.

  1. Contact details :

    Your name,email address, contact number and your social media profiles.make sure your social media profiles such as linkedin looks professional,as it is stated that 87% of recruiters use it to research candidates, according to HR statistics report.
  2. Personal statement : 

    add a brief but concise personal statement,this should explain your passion and why you would be a good fit for the role.It's okay to tailor your personal statement according to the opportuninty you are applying for.
  3. Educational background : 

    add your education in chronological order (starting with the most recent).
  4. Work experience :

    add your employer name,position title and brief details in chronological order.
  5. Skills : 

    make sure to add both soft and hard skills,both are as equally important for the hiring team.
  6. Hobbies and interests

    : In bullet points you can briefly mention your hobbies such as physical activities or reading.
  7. references :

    Unlike what most people think,"references available upon request" is not the perfect choice of statement in this section, instead you can mention the names and contact info for one or two persons who are willing to act as a reference for you,after having their consent.
